Harmonica Shah That’s Raw

Harmonica Shah recorded the Detroit Sessions in 1999 for UK label Bluetrack Records, some of which were later released on his debut album Deep Detroit. This selection on Volume One highlights Shah’s gritty, urban harmonica playing which is beautifully underpinned by Howard Glazer’s powerful electric guitar work. There is a chemistry between these two which reminds blues fans of previous celebrated harmonica-guitar duos. Shah is a good singer and is fun to listen to. The interplay between his voice and his harmonica is very enjoyable. And when the harmonica and guitar trade off, it’s even better.
